Walk "The saints of Dolni Lukavice"
On Saturday 7th May the cultural comission of Dolni Lukavice prepared a walk "The saints of Dolni Lukavice". The goal was to visit five statues and remember their significance not only for the village but also in general meaning or world meaning. All participants met at 9 o´clock in front of the church of St. Peter and Paul in Dolni Lukavice, where the mayor Vitezslav Opalko started with some short speech and then Eva Klepsova explained the significance of first stone monument - statue of St. John of Nepomuk dated 1713. Next there followed some questions to the participants and some of them got some awards (small ones, brochures, CDs etc.). Next point of the walk was to visit two other statues of st. John of Nepomuk and then statue of St. Paul - there was given an opportunity to children to compete as well. They had to complete a puzzle of St. Paul. After that all people walked to statue of St. Peter - renewed as the last one in January 2011. There is a brochure about all places they visited and also all stone monuments including crosses in Dolni Lukavice and surroundings. Brochures were given gratis to all participants and now are still availaible to buy at municipal office of Dolni Lukavice, there are black photos of original stage and now after the renovation.
